Of lice and ex-girlfriends

So, a lot has happened in the past few weeks. Some of it good, the rest... blerrh. Is that even a word?
Anyway, I made up with my on-and-off ex-girlfriend/friend and she decided to fuck me in the arse again. I don't know why I keep letting her into my life 'coz she's proven I'm an option in hers. What I hate is the assumption that I'm an idiot. I guess I am for expecting different results. The script stays the same. The characters are the same. She's the director. I just get a cameo role. I'm done doing Drama, I need a role in a Romance.

What else has happened, I hear you ask. Well, I went to a wedding in Rustenburg. It was fun seeing people who still believe in marriage get married. They seemed to be in love. Ah, well, I can't tell anymore. They smiled a lot. I wish them the best. Anyway, I got trashed on my Henny and Appletiser. Came back the next day. Round 2 of that wedding is today. They are Black, you see...

Last night, Lil'Wayne performed at the Dome. I didn't go. I was drained. Slept early.
Today, he's performing with Rick Ross and Eminem (surprise guest). I'm being pushed to go. I think I should. I need to destress and dance with young people.
The ticket that I'm proud to have bought is for Sting's show in March. Oh, didn't I tell you that I had to can my NY trip? Bought air tickets, but couldn't afford December accommodation in NY. Expensive as hell. For New Yorkers! How about me with my South African Ront? So, I'mma delay it to Feb/March. Would love to do Feb so I can come back in time to see Sting here at home.

What else has happened? Oh, at the wedding, I met some lovers of Hip Hop. Adult Hip Hop. And joined their crew. They hangout once a month, review a book, listen to good Hip Hop and drink good whisky. I can live with that.

My nephews; Jub Jub and WahWah are in Dubai and Turkey. School's out you see and their parents can afford such. Me, I'm just a broke uncle.

On the work front; I sign with the SABC on Monday (cross fingers they approve my rate) and I sign a rather lucrative contract with an agency I've been working with for a while. And hopefully clinch this deal that landed on my lap on Thursday last week. You know what this means, right? It means I don't have to work for a boss the whole of next year. Good times!

Now, I need to eat. I don't know when I'll be blogging again. But I'll try to come back soon. Maybe tomorrow, if I go to this teeny bopper concert tonight.

Pots and Pans,
S.
